Certificate of Conformance (COC)

PNW Sanitary can provide a Certificate of Conformance (COC) for stainless steel fittings, tubing, and other sanitary components upon request. A COC confirms that a product meets the published specifications, material requirements, and applicable sanitary standards for your process.

All COCs are issued on official PNW Sanitary letterhead and delivered electronically as PDF files.

What Is Included in a COC?

A standard Certificate of Conformance from PNW Sanitary typically includes:

• Product description and SKU
• Applicable specifications (for example, ASTM material grade)
• Alloy confirmation (such as 304 or 316L stainless steel)
• Sanitary / 3-A conformity statement (if applicable)
• Internal QC verification and approval

A COC is often suitable for vendor qualification, internal quality records, and many food, beverage, and sanitary process applications.

Note: A COC does not include full chemical composition or detailed heat/lot chemistry. If you require that level of detail, please request an MTR.

When Should I Request a COC vs. an MTR?

• COC: When you need a formal statement that the product conforms to published specifications and sanitary standards.
• MTR: When you need detailed chemistry and heat/lot traceability for validation, audits, or engineering documentation.

How to Request a COC

To request a COC for your order, please email our support team with the following information:

• Your order number
• Specific items that require a COC
• The email address where the COC should be sent
• Any facility- or customer-specific wording requirements

• Standard COC requests are typically processed within one business day.
• Larger or multi-line requests may require up to two business days.
