Food Processing FAQs

Are your fittings FDA-approved for food contact?

Yes. All our sanitary fittings are manufactured from FDA-approved 304 and 316L stainless steel alloys and meet 3-A sanitary standards for food processing equipment. We can provide Material Test Reports (MTRs) and our 3-A Certificate for your compliance files.

What gasket material should I use for food processing?

EPDM gaskets are the most common for general food processing applications (temperatures up to 250°F). For higher temperatures or specific chemical resistance, silicone or PTFE gaskets are recommended. We stock all FDA-approved gasket materials.

Can you provide documentation for HACCP and food safety audits?

Yes. As a manufacturer with our own 3-A License, we provide Material Test Reports (MTRs), Certificates of Conformance (COCs), and our 3-A Certificate for your facility's compliance documentation and food safety audits.

What's the difference between 304 and 316L stainless steel for food processing?

Both are food-grade and FDA-approved. 316L offers superior corrosion resistance in environments with high acidity, salt content, or aggressive cleaning chemicals. For most food processing applications, 304 stainless provides excellent performance at lower cost.
