Tight Radius Butt-Weld 90° Elbow (2WCL – Special) – 304 Stainless Steel

PNW Sanitary Tight Radius Butt-Weld 90° Elbows (2WCL – Special) provide a compact, permanent right-angle transition for welded stainless steel process piping. Designed with a significantly reduced centerline radius compared to standard 1.5D long-radius elbows, these fittings are ideal for installations with limited clearance, close-coupled equipment layouts, or space-restricted process skids. Manufactured from 304 stainless steel and polished to a 32Ra sanitary finish on both the ID and OD, these elbows offer hygienic performance while accommodating tight piping geometries.

As part of our Special-series lineup, this fitting is produced to the same dimensional and material standards commonly associated with 3-A sanitary fittings, but it is not 3-A certified because it does not include laser-marked size or alloy identifiers. For projects requiring a fully certified elbow, please see our 3-A Certified Butt-Weld 90° Elbow.

Features

  • 304 stainless steel construction
  • Tight-radius design for compact sanitary piping layouts
  • Polished 32Ra ID/OD sanitary finish
  • Produced to 3-A dimensional/material practices (non-certified due to no laser marking)
  • Available in multiple sanitary tube OD sizes
  • Designed for permanent welded installation

Applications & Compatibility

Ideal for OEMs, fabricators, and process engineers needing a compact 90° welded elbow for tight-space sanitary systems where 3-A certification is not required. Compatible with standard sanitary tubing and weld fittings from leading industry brands and suitable for food, beverage, brewery, cosmetic, nutraceutical, and light pharmaceutical environments.

Quality & Material Verification

All PNW Sanitary Special-series fittings undergo in-house Positive Material Identification (PMI) using the SciAps X-550 handheld XRF spectrometer to verify alloy chemistry and ensure full traceability.
